No in-house IT

What outsourced IT support looks like day to day.

Most businesses with 5 to 50 people don’t need a full-time IT person. They need someone to call when a laptop, the email or the printer stops working, and someone quietly keeping everything updated and secure in the background so those calls are rare.

That’s the arrangement. We become your IT department for a fixed monthly fee per person, and you get on with running the business.

  • Something breaks, you call, a technician answers. No call centre and no chatbot. The person you speak to takes ownership until it’s fixed. If you’d rather log it in writing, our client portal is there too.
  • We keep things working when you’re not looking.Monitoring, updates and security patches are handled on a schedule, so fewer things break in the first place.
  • Starters and leavers are set up properly.New people get their laptop, email and the right files. When someone leaves, their access goes the same day you tell us.
  • Someone plans ahead with you.Regular Clarity and Planning Reviews cover what you’ve got, what it costs and what’s coming, so IT decisions aren’t made in a panic.

Whoever you are in the business

The worry is different depending on your desk.

The person who chooses an IT company is rarely the only one who lives with the choice.

If you’re the one everyone comes to when IT breaks

You’re not technical and it isn’t really your job, yet every frozen laptop ends up at your desk. You want fewer complaints, a supplier who talks plainly, and costs you can explain without a spreadsheet.

With us, your colleagues contact the helpdesk directly and get a human who keeps them informed until it’s sorted. You get one clear monthly invoice, and nobody is made to feel silly for asking.

If it’s your business

You want the team getting more done without hiring more people, and IT that fits a business your size rather than a corporate template. You’d also like to know where AI and automation genuinely save time, and where they don’t.

You’ll get straight answers on what’s worth spending on and what isn’t. And because our agreements roll every 90 days, we have to keep earning your business.

If you sign off the budget

You want IT off your desk, security and compliance handled (GDPR, Cyber Essentials, the questions tenders ask), and no surprises on the invoice. You’re tired of IT companies whose main idea is to sell you more.

You get fixed per-user pricing, clear reporting, and a roadmap and budget from your Clarity and Planning Reviews, so you can answer the board’s questions before they’re asked.

How we work

Four things we’d want to know if we were choosing.

01

You’ll always talk to a human

Experienced technical people on the helpdesk, not an AI agent or a first-line script. We use AI behind the scenes to work faster, never in place of the person you speak to.

02

We tell you what you’ve got

Early on, we give you a clear picture of all your IT: what it costs, what you’re using and what you’re paying for but don’t need.

03

We plan ahead with you

Think of us as your own IT Director. Roadmaps, budgets and sensible timing for replacements, so nothing arrives as a shock.

04

We buy kit without a mark-up

Zero-cost hardware purchasing: when you need laptops or other equipment, we specify, source and set them up for you.

“We have been working with IT Support & Security for about 15+ years now and have always found them to be reliable, consistent in their service levels and knowledgeable. When our computers have failed they get them up and running again quickly. It is nice to know as the owner of the company that IT maintenance is one less thing for me to be worrying about.”
Chris, ML
“IT Support & Security are very responsive and offer a friendly, professional and solution focused service.”

Common questions

Questions small businesses ask before they get in touch.

If yours isn’t here, try our FAQ page.

How much does IT support cost for a small business in Surrey?

Per user per month: Core from £53, Protect from £70 and Protect & AI at £83.50. Email-only users are £6.50 and servers £180 a month each. As a worked example, 10 people on Protect is £700 a month. It’s all on our pricing page.

What does a 1 hour response actually mean?

We respond to your request within an hour of you raising it. Most problems are fixed remotely, because that’s quickest for everyone. When something needs a visit, we can be on-site across most of Surrey within a couple of hours for urgent issues.

What hours do you cover?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm as standard. For genuine critical issues outside those hours we have an on-call process, and we’ll agree during onboarding what counts as critical.

Are we tied into a long contract?

No. Our support packages run on 90 day rolling agreements. If you’re not happy, you can leave with 90 days’ notice, which means we have to keep earning your business. The one exception is automation work through our BUILD service, which has a 12-month minimum term and then rolls every 90 days.

How long does it take to switch from our current IT company?

Typically around four weeks from first conversation to go-live. We handle the handover from your existing provider, so your team barely notices. There’s more on our switching page.

Which parts of Surrey do you cover?

All of it. Most of our clients are around Guildford, Cranleigh, Dorking, Woking, Farnham, Godalming and Haslemere, with Horsham just over the Sussex border. Remote support works anywhere; our Surrey page lists the areas we visit.
