Local IT support that
knows Dorking.
Dorking is the main town in Mole Valley, tucked under Box Hill and the North Downs where the A24 meets the A25. The town centre is full of independent businesses, and behind the shopfronts there’s a solid base of professional firms, consultancies, property and land agents, and small engineering and manufacturing companies at Dorking Business Park and the units around Curtis Road and Station Road.
We’re based in Cranleigh, about 14 miles from Dorking along the A25 and A29, and we support businesses across the RH4 and RH5 postcode areas, from the town centre out to Westcott, Brockham, Holmwood, Beare Green and Capel. Day-to-day support is remote and fast. When a job needs someone on-site, we can normally get to Dorking the same day.
Most of the businesses we talk to in Dorking have outgrown a one-person IT supplier. They want fewer repeat problems, an honest view of what they’re spending and wasting, and a plan for the next few years that they can put in front of the board or the partners.

“My company switched to IT Support & Security over 10 years ago and have not regretted doing so. They have never let us down and always tried to find the best solutions without the usual “oh you need this new kit or software”. Will talk to you without all the high tech jargon.”
John, GOK

IT support in Dorking.
What businesses in Dorking and Mole Valley usually ask us first.
Do you have an office in Dorking?
We’re based in Cranleigh, about 14 miles from Dorking. Most of what we do is remote, so where we sit rarely matters day-to-day. When you need an engineer on-site in Dorking or the surrounding villages, we can usually be there within an hour or two.
What size businesses do you work with in Dorking?
Businesses with 5 to 50 employees. In and around Dorking that’s typically owner-managed professional firms, consultancies, property businesses and engineering companies. If you’re in that range and don’t have in-house IT, we’re likely a good fit.
How do we get started?
Start with a free 20 minute call. We’ll ask about your current setup and what’s frustrating you, and give you an honest view of whether we’re the right fit for your Dorking business. If we are, we’ll arrange an IT review and put together a clear proposal, with a roadmap and a budget you can take to the board. No obligation.
How long does switching IT provider take?
A well-managed switch usually takes around four weeks. We handle the whole process, including talking to your current provider, so your Dorking team sees as little disruption as possible. See how switching works.
What’s included in your support packages?
Every package includes unlimited remote support, proactive monitoring, security patching and regular business reviews. Protect adds security monitoring, staff security training and Cyber Essentials readiness. Protect & AI adds AI governance, so your team can use AI without putting data at risk. Servers are covered separately by Server Support & Backup (£180 per server per month), and infrastructure project work is quoted separately. See what you’d pay.
Can you help Dorking businesses get Cyber Essentials?
Yes. Cyber Essentials is increasingly required for tenders and by larger customers, and it’s a sensible baseline for any business handling client data. We’ll assess where you are, close the gaps and guide you through certification. More on Cyber Essentials.
Do you work on long-term contracts?
Not for IT support. Our packages run on 90-day rolling agreements, so if you’re not happy with the service you can leave with 90 days’ notice. We think that keeps us honest: we have to keep earning your business every quarter. The one exception is BUILD automation work, which has a 12-month minimum term and then rolls every 90 days.
Do you cover the villages around Dorking as well as the town?
Yes. We support businesses across the whole RH5 area, including Westcott, Brockham, Holmwood, Beare Green, Capel and Ockley, as well as Dorking itself. Remote support is the same wherever you are, and on-site visits are planned around you.
Can you help us use AI without risking client data?
Yes. Our Protect & AI package puts an AI policy in place that staff actually know about, finds the AI tools people have signed up for themselves, tidies up who can see which files, and manages Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude properly. It also brings AI inside your Cyber Essentials boundary, which helps when clients or tenders ask how you handle their data. It’s £83.50 per user per month (Microsoft 365 Business Premium required; AI licences are extra).
